Just finished up another Shabbat Bible Study! We are in Revelation 5 (and have been for some time), and finished contrasting the meaning and roles in v.5 of Yeshua as the "Lion of the Tribe of Judah" and also the "Root of David." There is a LOT there to unpack, and we spent nearly 12 hours over the last three weeks doing so. My special thanks to the weekly commitment of our Bible Study group members and guests. It is a pleasure to share the Word of G-d with those hungry to hear it, and those willing to take the time to go where the Spirit leads without being rushed. In a nutshell, Yeshua is first described as the "Lion of Judah" in his role of administering a royal judgment upon the Earth, then introduced as the "Root of David," as the eternal King of Israel.
