On last Erev Shabbat, Zion's Roar Ministries hosted Bart and Shelli Selby (center), founders of "Jacob's Cupboard," a local food pantry ministry named after their late son. Jacob was a giving young man who never hesitated to help someone in need. When challenged by his mother over giving his money to the homeless (whom she was sure would not spend it appropriately), he had responded by saying, "G-d tells us to give. What they do with it is between them and G-d." After Jacob's tragic death, his grieving parents sought a way to honor his memory and decided to open a "no questions asked" food donation ministry named after him. Jacob's Cupboard was selected to be the recipient of the latest Tzedakah raised by the members of Zion's Roar Ministries.
